I don’t recall if I’ve ever posted a link to Web and Designers before so just in case: Here’s a post on their blog about cheat sheets. You know what cheat sheets are. They’re the kinda like slimmed down Cliff’s Notes. This post on Web and Designers has sheets for WordPress, JQuery, PHP, CSS, HTML, and most of the Adobe products. Some of these are dated, back to CS3, but others are timeless, like the Pen Tool for example.

Dinotopia artist James Gurney posted this video about a “change blindness” experiment. 75% of the participants didn’t notice that the experimenter who bent under a counter was replaced by a different person. Says Gurney: “Here’s proof that most of the time we look but don’t see.” I think Matisse said something to the effect that he didn’t really see things unless he was painting them.

Update: Here’s another example. Now, the ‘trick’ is reveled shortly after the video begins and you, like me, might be tempted to quit the video and move on but don’t. Keep watching.

INGHAM COUNTY

Beginning with its Saturday vaccine clinic, Ingham County is allowing anyone to get the vaccine.

People don’t even have to be Ingham County residents.

The clinic runs 9 a.m. to noon at the Hill Career Academy, 5815 Wise Road in Lansing.
