I just got this from Philip, who took ARTS229 a semester or two back. He shares his experience in getting into the PHP class (CITW229) and I thought I’d pass it along to you.
Hello Fellow Students,
This Fall 2011 semester, LCC is offering CITW 229 Advanced PHP. The course requires department approval
and for those of you that might not know how to go about it, here are the steps:
1) Contact the instructor, Tedd Sperling, and tell him that you want to take the class and need his approval. He can be reached by emailing him at: sperlt (at) lcc.edu
Once you have his approval:
2) You will need to contact Trish Rothoff. You can either call her at the office 517.483.9612 or just forward your approval email from Tedd Sperling to her at: trothoff (at) lcc.edu
I strongly urge you to sign up for this class as soon as possible. Employers look for back end development using PHP. Not to mention, getting a grasp on your PHP skills helps you learn other languages that you need to know for Web Development – in addition to all of the cool things you can use PHP for.
I look forward to seeing you in class this Fall.
With Regards,
Philip Laycock
